Mrs. J.G. Bulcken Dies: Rites Today
Mrs. Catherine Schmidt Bulcken, 81, of 403 South Church street, died Monday morning at 9:50 o’clock at the Sanders Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Her husband was the late J.G. Bulcken, pioneer merchant of this city who died December 3, 1940. She was born in Charleston, April 8, 1866, the daughter of the late John E. Schmidt and Rosena Esther Wetzell Schmidt.

Funeral services will be held at the Walters Funeral Home at 4:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and will be conducted by the Rev. Enoch D. Stockman, pastor of the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. The interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. G.G. Smith of this city, Mrs. G.H. Goodman of New Freedom, Penn., two sons, John G. Bulcken Jr., also of New Freedom, Penn.; and George W. Bulcken of Florence. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
