Born in Sevierville, Tennessee, she is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Vernon A. Self; son, David V. Self; daughter, Carol Self McGaha, and granddaughter, Tracey Laura Ramsey; sister, Aileen Reagan; and her companion of 12 years, Baby, her dog.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda Self Rogers; sisters, Mary Kendall and Nan (Tony) Harper; brother, Ron Flynn; sister-in-law, Charlotte (GC) Breeden; granddaughter, Melody (Brandon) Cook; grandsons, Stacey Ramsey and Toby Gredigand; granddaughter, Margaret (Jack) Lumley; great-granddaughters, Chelsey (Josh) Barnes Raines, Rachael and Reagan Ramsey; other grandchildren include Katie and Austin Moore, Logan Gredig, Jacob, Hailey, Rayne and Skylar Lumley; great-great-grandchildren, Mason (Chapman) Cook, Ryleigh Barnes and “Spiderman” Carter Barnes, and Mattison and Caden Johnson.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the funeral following at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Central Point Cemetery, Rockford, Tennessee.
