D.C. Ledbetter is the son of Alexander Lee "Elic" Ledbetter and Dovie Ann (Presley) Ledbetter.

He was the husband of Bessie Mae (Ramsey) Ledbetter.

Mr. Ledbetter

D.C. Ledbetter, 58, Attalla, Rt. 3, died Monday at a local hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Attalla, with the Revs. Luther Haygood and Dock Tidwell officiating.

Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Bessie Mae Ramsey Ledbetter; daughters, Mrs. Betty Glidden, Maine, Mrs. Shirley Reneman, Mrs. Linda Hicks and Tina Ledbetter, all of Attalla; sons, Royce, Johnny and Donnie Ledbetter, all of Attalla, Gary Ledbetter, Gadsden; sisters, Mrs. Evia Thacker and Reba Myrick, Talladega, Mrs. Betty Leeper, Illinois; brothers, J.D. Ledbetter, Weaver, A.B. Ledbetter, Alabama City, Robert and Johnny Ledbetter, both of Attalla, nine grandchildren.

Active pallbearers: Gene Macburett, Curtis Roberts, Fred Adams, Wayne Tucker, Grady Knight, Harvey McCoy.

Mr. Ledbetter was a native of DeKalb County and a resident of Etowah County most of his life. He was a member and deacon of New Harmony Baptist Church and was retired from Republic Steel after 28 year's service.

The family will receive friends after 4:30 p.m. today.
