Nancy L. Abshire, 75, of Ranson, WV passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born September 7, 1940 in Millville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Cassie Cooper Kelican.

She was of the Christian faith.

Nancy was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge No. 948 in Charles Town. She adored her feline companion, Patches and her love and affection was all about the children, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by one daughter, Melody Askew and husband, Calvin of Ranson, WV; two sons, Thomas Clark of Middleway, WV and Scott Clark of Ranson; one brother, Gary Kelican of Ranson; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Clark in 1971, four brothers, Clifton Kelican, Jr., Jack Kelican, Douglas Kelican and Howard Kelican and one sister, Betty Chapman.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
