Clifford O. Bailey, 56, of Sycamore died Saturday in the local hospital. He had not been well of late.
Mr. Bailey was born Jan. 30, 1908 at Neffs, Ohio son of Mahlon and Margaret Gray Bailey. Growing to mature years there, he attended the schools in that city. At the age of 19 years, he came to Sycamore, where he has since resided. For a number of years, he had been employed by the local Anaconda Plant. He was a World War Two Veteran and a member of the Sycamore VFW Post.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Eikelberry, Mrs. Ida Nolen, and Mrs. Florence Suichi, all of Bellaire, Ohio, also Mrs. Emma Kirby of North Bergen, N.J.
He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and a sister.
Final rites are to be held this Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Coultrip Funeral Home with Dr. C. Wesley Israel in charge. Burial will take place in the Elmwood cemetery, where full military rites are to be conducted.
