Word was received here of the death early this (Thursday) morning of George Westphal, at his home in Kokomo, at the age of 46 years, of Bright's disease. He had been ill for several weeks. Mr. Westphal was born in Salem township in 1883, and this community was his home until he moved to Kokomo some ten years ago. A few years prior to leaving here, Mr. Westphal erected the building known as the Main Garage, and operated it until he disposed of it. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Howard and Wilbert; one daughter, Evalyn; one brother, Carl Westphal of Reynolds; a half brother, John Marnitz of near Reynolds; and two half sisters, Mrs. John Bierman of this place and Mrs. Fred Dunker of Beaver township. One daughter, Mabel, preceded him in death a few years ago. Funeral Saturday at 2:00 at the Evangelical church. Burial will be given in the cemetery east of town.
