OBITUARY FOR:
Katheryn “Katie” J. Andrea, 74, of Woodruff, WI passed away July 17, 2016 at Seasons of Life Hospice Home in Woodruff, WI after battling cancer.
Katie was born June 25, 1942 in Glidden, WI to Ross and Dorothy Gilbert. During her thirty years of nursing she gave the same compassionate care she received in her final days. After retiring she traveled extensively with many wonderful friends. She enjoyed riding her bike and kayaking in the summers in Woodruff but always looked forward to heading south for the winter to return to the ocean to walk the beaches. She was an avid Packers fan and loved going to Lambeau Field with her sister to cheer on the Pack.
Katie is survived by her children Michael DeVore of Santa Fe, NM, Dennis Walker of Augusta, WI, and Melissa (Joe) Sunderland of Spooner, WI; special friend Lee Bruggink of Woodruff, brother Raymond (Marilyn) Gilbert, sister Norma (Hank) Card, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Donny Walker, and sister Roberta Lemke.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 11am, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation on Saturday, at the Church from 10-11am.
