Eva Laverne Guy died peacefully at her home in Dearing, Georgia, exactly as family and friends prayed she would, on Tuesday July 19, 2016. Laverne worked at Thomson Company in Harlem, Georgia for 15 years and at Uniroyal in Thomson, Georgia, for 14 years. She has been a member of Iron Hill Advent Christian Church since 1994.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings; her husband, K D Guy; a son, David Guy; a granddaughter, Michelle Workman; and two grandchildren, Katelyn and Junior Inglett.
She is survived by 3 daughters and their husbands: Linda and Don Price of Harlem, Georgia; Dianne And Lee Roy Taylor of Grovetown, Georgia; and Judy and Russell Minor of Dearing, Georgia; one son and his wife: Eddie and Dione McGahee of Stapleton, Georgia; and two godsons: Calaway Workman of Dearing, Georgia, and Ronnie Smith of Stapleton, Georgia.
She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, Susan Griswold, Jennifer Whitman, Donna McNeely, Don Price, Wendy Combs, Angela Vicars, Barry Taylor, Martie Ewest, Dewayne Radford, Tina Wilson, Tammy Smith, Lisa Peebles, Melissa Graham, Wayne Culver, Karen Ivey, Sharron Nicely, Stephen Keener, Daniel Dailey, Kendall Dailey, David Workman, Russ Minor, Clarice Beasley, Kye David Guy, and their spouses, a host of great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at Iron Hill Advent Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery.
