Beatrice L. Riske (nee Howard), 74, a forty-four year resident of West Chicago, passed away July 17, 2016. Born January 15, 1942, in Elgin, IL, she was raised on a dairy farm in West Dundee, IL. A loving wife of her late husband Dwight, they traveled extensively in retirement visiting many National Parks including Grand Canyon and Denali. She was a library assistant for twenty-five years at the Warrenville Public Library. Beatrice loved books and libraries her entire life, volunteering at her high school and her children's grade school library before her employment at the Warrenville Public Library. After retirement, she used her skills to expand and maintain the Water's Edge Church Library. She was a longtime member of Water's Edge (formerly West Chicago) Bible Church. She is survived by her children, Alicia (Mark) Carriveau and Philip (Grace) Riske; her grandchildren, Theresa Carriveau and Jaisingh, Virarani, and Asha Riske; and her twin-sister, Barbara Larsen. She was preceded in death by her husband, of forty-six years, Dwight; her parents Robert and Vera Howard; and her brother Leslie. Visitation Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Water's Edge Bible Church, 209 S. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago. Visitation Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service 11:00 a.m. Interment Glen Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to Water's Edge Bible Church.
