Obituary
CONFEDERATE VETERAN DIES AT LEANDER
Georgetown, Texas, March 21. A. S. Mason, 82, pioneer citizen of Leander, Williamson County, died at his home. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Rev. J. E. Buck.
The deceased was born in Charlotte, N. C., and came to
Texas when a child, living in Fiskville, later at Austin. He has lived in this county over 50 years, and had been prominent as banker, farmer and general business man. He was an ex-Confederate soldier, having served in the Civil War from this State. He leaves several sons and daughters living in this State and in Oklahoma.
