PICAYUNE -- Mr. Sherman L. Acker Sr., 68, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mr. Acker was a native of Catahoula and was a member of Weems Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Acker of Picayune; a daughter, Paulette McGlothin of Jackson; five sons, Sherman L. Acker Jr. of Houston, Texas, Ray Anothy Acker of Germany, Lindsey Rene Acker of Hattiesburg, Corey P. Acker of Picayune and Sean D. Acker of San Diego; three brothers, Freddie Acker and R.C. Acker, both of Picayune, and Matthew Acker of New Orleans; and 12 grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Weems Chapel United Methodist Church where friends may call one hour before service time. Burial will be in Catahoula Cemetery. Baylous Funeral Home in Picayune is in charge of arrangements.
