Wilma Chastain Stewart, 86, of 2950 Table Rock Road, widow of O. Harold Stewart, died Saturday, July 15, 2006.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Elijah Denton and Ida Hendricks Chastain. She attended Winthrop College, was a school teacher, social worker and a homemaker, also a veteran serving as a Wave in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Martha Darrow of Pickens and Jane Jarrett and her husband Brian of Anderson; a son, Timothy Stewart and his wife Myriam Elsa Torres of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, David Chastain of Williamston; and three grandchildren, Leah and Dylan Jarrett and Sebastian Stewart.

Funeral Services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Dillard Funerals and Cremations with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens. The Family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. before the services on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

The Family is at the home of Martha Darrow, 143 Cross Creek Trail, Pickens.
