Arney Russell Patterson, 75, a resident of Aztec since 1934, died Friday, May 26, at Durango, Colorado, following a lingering illness.
Arney Russell Patterson was born October 25, 1886, at Monmouth, Illinois to Hugh Caldwell and Bessie Farley Russell Patterson. He married Ethel King March 12, 1913, at Cleo, Oklahoma. To this union was born four children: Dale Francis in 1915, Glade Lavern in 1918, Vera Nadine in 1920 and Wilma Jean in 1925. Mrs. Patterson died September 3, 1945.
Surviving members of the family are two daughters, Vera N. Lawson and Wilma Jeane Kaime, of Aztec; two sons, Dale F. Patterson of Concord, California, and Glade L. Patterson of Dunsmuir, California, a brother, Fred Patterson of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon and burial was made in the Aztec Cemetery.
