Helen G. Bailey, 91, of Second Street, Marietta, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday (April 4, 2006) at Harmar Place in Marietta.
She was born in Pleasants County, W.Va., on Feb. 2, 1915, to Calvin and Nettie Davis Barnhart. She was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Bailey of Marietta; daughter-in-law, Donna M. Bailey of Lowell; and sister, Grace Wilson of Weirton, W.Va. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kristie Bailey, Kim (Mark) Finnegan, Kerry (Tom) Kottyan, Koni (Jim) LaBarre, Susan Schramm, and Brian (Peggy) Bailey; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
On March 31, 1934, she married Arthur T. Bailey, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Tyndall "Jim" Bailey; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Timothy Bailey; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Twin Rivers Baptist Church with Pastor James Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Salem Township Cemetery.
