Janie A. Selke, 73, a Connersville native, died October 22, 2015, at Reid Health in Richmond.
Parents: Claude and Louise Adams Miller
Married: Nevin Ray Selke on April 16, 2002.
She was a 1960 graduate of Connersville High School and studied at Ball State University in Muncie. Janie was a professional artist and won many awards for her paintings and hand sewn quilts. A member of Whitewater Valley Arts Assoc., Jenny Lou Home Extension Club and a Kentucky Colonel. A lifetime member of Conner Quilts and a member of Krusaders 4 Kids. She was a member of United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Nevin, her children, 4 Grandchildren, brother-in-law Nolen Selke and his wife, sister-in-law Kathy Selke. her sister Saranne Peak of Connersville and several nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Preceding her in death was her parents, a son-in-law, George Pilgrim III, her brothers-in-law, Narvel "Buddy" Selke and Donald Peak.
