She was born in Indianola, Oklahoma, to Frank Bynum and Anna Adeline (Whitefield) Bynum. She graduated from Indianola High School and married Paul Calvin Harrelson on July 26, 1941, in Indianola. They moved to McAlester in 1960 and made their home here since that time. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of McAlester, a homemaker and enjoyed her church and family. She passed away at the McAlester hospital at the age of 82. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul C. Jr. and Shirley Harrelson, of Bartlesville, Col. Lynn and Leigh Harrelson, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Frank and Sany Harrelson, Kansas City, Mo. Also, eight grandchildren and spouses, Brad Tery and wife, Welina, of Beggs, Krissy Oley and husband, Rick, of McAlester, Karla Sheffield, of McAlester, Joe Harrelson, Darren Harrelson, Lana Human, of Coweta, Steve Price, of Tulsa, and Jori Rentas and husband, Carlos, Kansas City, Kan. And, 10 great-grandchildren, Cody and Megan Terry, Taylor Sheffield, Maria, Daniel and Carlos Jr. Rentas, Julia and Sarah Oley, Derrick Human, and Christopher Price. Pallbearers will be Jerry Vest, Chuck Courts, Brad Terry, Morgan Sennett, Carlos Rentas and Rick Oley. Honorary pallbearers will be members of First Baptist Church Sunday School Department No. 2. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna "Addie" Bynum, and her husband, Paul Harrelson.
