On May 9, 1953, Joy married Donald Barstow in Menominee, Mich., a loving relationship that lasted 63 years.
She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Faith. Joy loved all animals, especially horses and large birds. She was a wonderful homemaker and held ceramic classes in her home. She also enjoyed interior decorating and collecting antiques.
Survivors include:
devoted husband, Donald of Menominee, Mich.;
one son Randy (Janice) of Atlanta, Ga.;
six daughters: Dona (Michael) Klein of Menominee, MI; Dawn (Edward) Wozniak of Wallace, MI; Jule (Francis) Thoune of Stephenson, MI; Alane Barstow of Wallace, MI; Tanna (Robert) Hartwig of Wallace, MI; Tara (Greg) Tibbe of Lomira, WI;
20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren;
two sisters: Darlene (Duane) DeCamp of Menominee, MI and Diane (Joe) Kaufman of Daggett, MI;
one brother, Jerry (Jann) LaCombe of Everett, Wash.
Joy was preceded in death by an infant son Donald; grandson Jason Klein; two sisters: Elaine Chaltry and Gail Gross; two brothers: Donald and Thomas LaCombe.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Anderson Kell Funeral Home after 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery on Monday at 10 a.m.
