Irene Elizabeth Sees, 95 of Belpre, Ohio died at her residence surrounded by her family on July 15, 2016. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 26, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Walter Alonzo and Althea May Clark Carmichael. She had worked at the Dils Brothers Department Store and Irene's Fashions. She was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Roy D. Sees of Belpre, a daughter, Linda Mulligan Boso of Belpre, a son, John W. Mulligan of Belpre, a stepdaughter, Kimberly Ann Sees of Belpre, a stepson, Michael M. Sees of Oklahoma City, OK, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Ruth (Jack) Carpenter of Belpre and a sister-in-law, Loretta Carmichael of Parkerburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas Mulligan, two brothers, Lawrence and Jack Carmichael, a sister Carolyn Hardee and a step daughter, Sherry M. Felix and son-in-law Dave Boso.
Services will be on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery.
