Grace Mary Campbell Seeliger passed peacefully in her sleep in Boise, ID on June 23, 2016 at Overland Court Senior Living at the age of 88. She was born March 20,1928 in Baker City, OR to William Frank Campbell and Helen Frances Blue Campbell. Her childhood was spent in Baker City, OR. She attended Gem State Academy in Caldwell, ID and graduated in 1948. Grace continued her education studying art and elementary education at Walla Walla University in Washington and Portland State University in Oregon. She graduated with an Education degree and spent 12 years teaching in elementary schools in western Oregon. Grace moved to Idaho to care for her Uncle Mark Blue. Her Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church family, where she was attending, set her up on a blind date with Carroll Seeliger. They fell in love and were married in June 1965. They set up their home in Weiser, ID where they farmed and ranched. In March 1967, she gave birth to her daughter, Sheryl, whom she often referred to as "the joy of my life". Grace was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a longtime active member of the Jonathon Club and the Weiser SDA Church. Grace was known for being loving, kind, generous, giving of hugs, brightening the room with her smiling cheerful positive attitude.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Lynne Seeliger and friend, Dr. Ron Carroll; step-grandsons, Jacob and Nicholas Foster; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Albert Seeliger.
Memorial services will be at 4 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at SDA Church, 799 US-95, Weiser, ID 83672 and on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2 pm at Overland Court Senior Living, 10250 W Smoke Ranch Dr., Boise, ID 83709.
