Catherine T. Lingenfelser, age 64, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at home where she lived with her brother Pat Lingenfelser and his wife Leslie Lingenfelser.

Cathy is survived by her half brothers, Billy and Bobby Lingenfelser; sister, Carolyn A. Gersovitch; nephews, Kurt and Malcolm Lingenfelser, and a grand-nephew, Vincent Lingenfelser. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Christopher Lingenfelser.

Cathy was born June 30, 1952 in Savannah and lived here her entire life. Cathy graduated from Saint Vincent’s Academy in 1970 and later received an Associate Degree from Armstrong State College. She was a Communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and retired from the United States Postal Service in 2006. She was a member of the Lachlan McIntosh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.

The family suggests any remembrances be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1707 Bull Street, Savannah, GA, 31401 or Saint Vincent’s Academy, 207 W. Liberty St., Savannah, GA 31401.
