Galesburg, IL - Daniel A Harris, 73, formerly of Galesburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016, at BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, TX.
Dan was born in Galesburg, IL, on August 24, 1942, to Gene and Wilma Abel Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann; his son, Scott (Gina) Harris; daughter, Rhonda (Tim) McMillen; grandson, Nick McMillen; and granddaughter, Danielle McMillen.
Dan was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 649 and Local 150 for 50 years altogether in Illinois.
Cremation arrangements were by Horizon Mortuary in Dalhart, TX. Graveside services will be held at the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery on Coal Bank Road in Metamora, IL.
