Daughter of Francis "Frank" and Catherine "Cassie" (Smith) Benedict. Divorced from Harvey Earle Morgan. Mother of Frank Benedict Morgan and Robert Earle Morgan.

"MRS. MORGAN FOUND DEAD IN HER HOME
Mrs. Benedict Morgan, 76, of 1712 Madison Ave., Dunmore, was found dead in bed at her home yesterday afternoon by Dunmore police summoned by neighbors who had not seen her about for several days.
Dr. Paul E. Kubasko, Lackawanna County coroner, said Mrs. Morgan was the victim of a heart attack and had been dead about three days.
A Dunmore police detail composed of Chief Edward J. Conway, Lt. James U. Samela and Patrolmen John Monahan and Eugene Kays forced a window to gain entrance to the home where Mrs. Morgan resided alone.
A native of Clark's Green, Mrs. Morgan had resided in Dunmore for the past 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Cassie Smith Benedict. She was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston, and a number of years ago was a teacher at Robert Morris School 27, Green Ridge section.
She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church and the Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Surviving are two sons: Frank, Summit, N.J., and Robert E., Syracuse, N.Y., and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 from the Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave., with The Rev. Roy T. Henwood, Asbury Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery. There will be no viewing."
