He was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, and was formerly employed by Adams Electric Co-op, retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Gettysburg Moose, and the Adams County Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife Hazel Kepner Currens; four children, Julia M Yoder, Reisterstown, Md.; Floyd G Currens, Gettysburg; Edward D, York; Wanda J Miller, York; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Hartzel, Gettysburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
