Chelsea Alease "Angel Girl" Banton, 21, of Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center-Main.

A native of Mecklenburg Co., NC, she is the daughter of Phillip Lee Banton and Colleen Kay Lands Banton.

She is a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene and was also a student at Butler High School. She loved everybody, her school, her church and the Carolina Panthers. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and bore the torch in the 2015 Relay Run. She also loved trips to the ocean.

Chelsea was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Charles Wesley and Phyllis Banton.

In addition to her parents, Chelsea is survived by her sister: Kaylee Banton; her maternal grandparents: Edward and Alease Lands; her uncles: Chuck Banton and Gerri Banton; Mike and Bev Lands; and Bill Lands; her aunt: Carol Lands; her cousins; her special caregiver: Caroline; and numerous other caregivers.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care extended by the NICU, PICU, and ICU at Presbyterian Main.

Visitation: 6:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the Charlotte Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC

Funeral: 1:00 pm. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., NC with the Rev John Bremer and Rev Elmer Wilson officiating.
