There died in Cedar Rapids, at the residence of Mrs. A.M. Miner, Miss Julie E Hemenway, sister of Mrs. Miner, and formerly of this city, where she lived for more than 10 years, removing to Cedar Rapids with Mrs. Miner in March last. The Republican of that city says:
The ladies made there home until about a year ago with E.A. Hoontun, just moving into there own house a few weeks since. Until about two weeks ago, Miss Hemingway was in good health, but overwork incident to moving brought on the disease resulted in her death. During her entire illness she always cheerful, and even in midst of her most intense suffering she maintained that trust and reliance upon divine power which was remarkable. She was anxious and willing to die. She felt that her work on earth had been accomplished and that there remained for her rest only n that land "where the wicked cease from troubling." Until the last her mind was clear, and unclouded, and she gave the most minute directions, even when she became blind, in regard to her personal effects and her own funeral.
The funeral will be from the First Presbyterian church in this city, on Friday, October 30, at 10 o'clock a.m. Rev. R. Burkhalter, her pastor at Cedar Rapids, will officiate.
