Alvina Mae Schwaller, 82, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born on August 13, 1921 in Chaffee, MO, the daughter of Alvin Lawrence and Ava Ellen Ligon Papin.

She was married on August 1, 1940, in Jefferson City to Charles Colley "Charlie" Schwaller who died on January 22, 2002.

A 1938 graduate of Jefferson City High School, Mrs. Schwaller owned and operated with her husband the Bermuda and the Booterie Shops between 1960 and 1980 before spending their retirement in Jefferson City and Palm Springs, California.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and, later, St. Joseph Cathedral.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Rick Armellini, Eureka Springs, Arkansas; one sister, Evelyn Lucille Harris, Cabot, Arkansas; one brother-in-law and his wife, Paul "Pat" and Arlene Schwaller, Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Northcutt, Holts Summit.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis B. Papin and Joseph A. Papin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109 (573/893-5251), with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Building Fund, 216 Broadway Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
