HAMDEN - Edward F. DeMott, 91, of West Shepard Avenue, beloved husband of Corrine (DiFalco) DeMott, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2006. He was the loving father of Cheryl and Dr. John Grant of Mattawan, N.J., Phill De-Mott of Maui, Hawaii, David DeMott of Hamden and Dennis and Sheryl DeMott of Walling-ford. He is also survived by his eight cherished grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and in-laws George and Lorraine DiFalco of Lakeland, Fla. and James and Edna DiFalco of Maui, Hawaii. He was predeceased by sisters Rose Bodin, Genevieve Gollinger and Katherine Witterman. Edward was born in Bayshore, Long Island, N.Y., son of the late Edward and Rose (McNally) DeMott. Mr. DeMott served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked at the former Zemel Bros. in New Haven. Edward worked in electronics his entire career. The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Church of the Ascension. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Calling hours are Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of the Ascension, 1040 Dunbar Hill Road, Hamden, 06514.
