Daughter of Johnathan Stephens and Nancy Young. During the 1850 Federal Census, Burchet (age 12) was living with her family in Itawamba Co, Mississippi. On 20 December 1855, Burchet married William W. Hines in Claiborne Co, LA. Burchet and William Hines were parents to a daughter, Martha Ann "Mattie" Hines Barge. After William Hines died, Burchet married Isaac "Ike" S. Foster on 8 October 1855 in Columbia Co, Arkansas. After Isaac Foster's death, Burchet had moved to live with her daughter. Burchet was living in Limestone Co, TX by 1900 Federal Census. Burchet died at age 81 in Groesbeck, Limestone Co, TX, on August 30, 1916. Cause of death was tuberculosis. Burchet had suffered from TB for three years. Her Texas death certificate #19417 states she was buried in Lost Prairie Cemetery, Groesbeck, Limestone Co, TX, on August 31, 1916. Undertaker was BJ Williams...I was not able to locate a headstone at the Lost Prairie Cemetery.
