Robert D. 'Bob' Krause, age 82, of Concordia, died Monday, July 11, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma. Burial with full military rites will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Grade School Playground Equipment Fund, or Beacon of Hope Hospice, all in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.
In addition to his wife, Mary; he is survived by four children: Monica Joyce and husband Donald of Lake Winnebago, MO, Angela Bethel and husband David of Kingston, MO, Mark Krause of Concordia, MO, and Elizabeth Hoppmann and husband Dan of Concordia; 11 grandchildren: Cynthia Douglas and husband Ryan, Chris Joyce and wife Clarissa, Samantha Joyce, Justin Bethel, Katie Bethel, Kellie Bethel, Megan Mehl and husband Silas, Madison Childress and husband Nathan, Josiah Krause, Paul Hoppmann and wife Jessica, and Brandon Hoppmann; five great-grandchildren: Talia, Brandon, Alana, Hannah, and Avery; six siblings: Dorothy Hollomon of Union City, CA, Arthur Krause Jr. of Independence, Marjorie Finkeldei of Marshall, Donna Howard, Carolyn Luebbert, and Mary Opfer, all of Sweet Springs; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur H. Krause and Dora Stephens Krause; one great-granddaughter, Haylee Joyce; four sisters: Hazel Gregory, Edna May Nelson, Esther Krause, and Mildred Butcher; and one brother, Maurice Krause.
