Marie Yolanda Arnes, 96, passed away on July 7, 2016. Marie was born on September 8, 1919, to the late Gust and Ernesta Fornary. She married Lyle L. Arnes on December 11, 1943. They were happily married for 64 years. Although Marie worked at S.C. Johnson for many years as an executive secretary for several departments, she will be remembered most for how much she loved and cared for her family. Marie had a very giving spirit, and she wouldn’t think twice about giving her time to help immediate and extended family members. She was a woman who enjoyed life to its fullest especially in her “golden” years. Marie and her husband, Lyle, enjoyed ballroom dancing, camping, and traveling. Marie attended aqua size classes at the JMBA Center 5 mornings per week for over 20 years. Marie laughed often and loved much and she will be greatly missed.

Marie’s survivors include her daughter, Lucy (Don) Carlson; granddaughters, Michelle (Thomas) Rouse, and Rachel Carlson; 4 great grandchildren, Kaity, Tommy, Jacqueline, and Jayda Rouse; her sister and best friend, Lucy Pucely; nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle, and sisters, Alba (Wally) Undorf, Julia (Clarence) LaCanne, Clara (Norman) Christie; brother-in-law, Carl Pucely; niece, Marya Pucely; nephew, Ron LaCanne; and great-nephew, Patrick LaCanne.
