Obit from Henderson Daily News:
Mr. Armstrong passed from this life on July 10, 2016 at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. He was born July 14, 1928 in Minden to the late Ruben and Neeley (Mills) Armstrong and had lived in Houston before moving to the Lake Striker area for the past 30 plus years. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps and later retired as a longshoreman on the Houston Ship Channel. George was an adrenaline junkie who loved to drive stunt cars and race cars, he was a stunt pilot, and would parachute from high altitudes. He was also a bush pilot and hauled supplies to the jungle in South America. George attended Sardis Baptist Church and First United Methodist Church in Price.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vaulta Armstrong; sons, George A. Jr and Glen Allen Armstrong; and all six of his brothers and sisters.

[Dad was actually born in 1929 but lied about his age to join the Army.]

Eulogy:
... equal parts race car driver, pilot, stunt car driver and musician.
Hollywood stuntman, skydiver, stunt pilot and voodoo physician.
Smuggler, entrepeneur, patriot and rebel.
Charmed the angels and scared off the devil.
Uncle George to some, but a friend to all.
Outlaw, inlaw, their daddy and my grandpaw.
Mexico, Guatemala, Central America and Panama,
We're 1400 miles from home but they all know your name, Grandpaw.
He conquered his life in the most amazing way,
Most of you don't know it but superman died today.

I love you, Grandpaw, I'm gonna miss you, Boo.
