Brian Larson Ostling, 31, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Normal, passed away July 2, 2016, in Goodyear, Arizona.

Brian was born Oct. 24, 1984 in Normal, the son of Lars Eric and Dawn Voorheis Ostling.

Surviving are his father, Lars Eric (Bonnie) Ostling; his mother, Dawn (Larry) Daghe; four brothers, Michael (Michelle) Dicken, Corey (Andrea) Ostling, John Daghe and Bret (Laura) Daghe; two sisters, Megan Ostling and Nicole (Seth) Fischer and maternal grandmother, Elma Voorheis.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Brian graduated from Normal Community West High School in 2003. He attended University of Illinois and graduated from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received a degree in mechanical engineering and a master of business administration. Brian worked as an engineer in Tulsa, Oklahoma and made a career change to teach math at Molina High School, Dallas, Texas.
