Mary Alma Hoverman, 83, of McComb, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
Mary was born in Grover Hill, Ohio on October 6, 1932 to the late Aaron and Edna (McClure) Bidlack. She married Raymond Hoverman on March 2, 1952 and he survives.
She is also survived by her daughter, Gwen (Rex) Burk of Union City, Indiana; sons, Gregory (Mary) Hoverman of McComb, Donnie (Celeste) Hoverman of McComb; sisters, Emma Rosengarden of Leipsic, Edna May (Dale) Spitnale of Oakwood, Ohio; brother Paul (Shirley) Bidlack of Grover Hill, Ohio; sister in-laws, Freida Bok of Paulding and Connie Bidlack of Grover Hill; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Houtz, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She and her husband Raymond owned and operated the Hoverman Insurance Agency in McComb for 53 years retiring in 2014. Mary was a member of the McComb Church of Christ and active in the church choir and the Christian Workers. Before moving to McComb she and Raymond were charter members of Parkview Church of Christ now ( Parkview Christian Church) in Findlay. Mary was also a member of the Progress Study Club in McComb and the Gideons.
Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the McComb Church of Christ, 400 Ackerly St. McComb, Ohio, where her funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Breitigam, officiating. Burial will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. .Memorial Contributions can be made in Mary's honor to the McComb Church of Christ Mission Fund or to the Gideons.
