Marjorie Blumenstein Miller was born in rural Wellman, Iowa the daughter of Edward and Minnie Perrin Blumenstein. She attended rural school and graduated from Wellman High School in 1929. Marjorie married Melvin L. Miller on September 19, 1929 in Sigourney, Iowa. She began cooking at the Wellman High School in 1954 and continued at the Mid-Prairie High School until retiring in 1976. She then began cooking for the congregate meals program and the Rotary Club in Wellman and continued in that until 1996. Marjorie enjoyed cooking very much, as well as crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church in Wellman.
