A carpenter in the railroad shops and living at 1524 Demonbreun Street, Nashville, he was 61 years old and married when he died of bilateral, pulmonary TB at Davidson County Tuberculosis Hospital on December 10, 1938. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery.
