Norma Dean (Hobbs) Gadd, 83, of Kansas City, Missouri formerly of Grain Valley, MO passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Gower Convalescent Center in Gower, MO.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Association-Heart of America Chapter or the Disabled America Veterans. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.ralphojones.com or on our Facebook Page.

Norma was born on March 20, 1933 in Odessa, MO to George Allen and Cleo Ann (Peal) Hobbs. She attended Odessa High School. On October 29, 1951 she married Earsie "George" Gadd in Bryan, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1986. Norma worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for many years at Liberty Hospital, Smithville Hospital and for Asbury Hospital in Salina, KS. She also owned and operated a beauty salon in Grain Valley, MO, but before retirement she was a Receptionist for H&R Block. Norma was a member of the Grain Valley First Baptist Church. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Norma enjoyed taking care of others, gardening and taking trips to Branson.

Survivors include four children, George Gadd and wife Sheila, Brenda Klamp and husband Lester and Chuck Gadd and wife Judy all of Kansas City, MO, Diane Brindle and husband Larry of Salina, KS; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; two sisters, Sharron Day and husband Orville Lee of Odessa, MO and Eleanor Specker and husband Bob of Bates City, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by a son, Carlos R. Gadd; and two sisters, Shirley McNeece and Francis Halsey.

Pallbearers will be: Chuck Gadd, Keith Brindle, Jason Horr, Lee Snowden, Terry Gadd and Christopher Gadd

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jaxon Gadd, Gavin Lackey and Brett Riedel
