As a young man he worked for several years for the Hansen Construction Company and later moved to Gothenberg, Nebraska, where he worked on a farm. He later moved to Plainville, Kansas and was employed there at the Chevrolet Garage. He has lived the last few years at Phillipsburg where he was employed at the Royal Brand Roofing Company.
He was married to Goldie Flowers as a young man. One son, Kenneth, was born to this couple. He was married to Lilly Lytle Howard in 1936.
He was preceded in death by his father, one sister and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Lilly of the home; one son, Kenneth, of Glendive, Montana; his mother, Mrs. E.N. Hunter of Logan; six sisters and three brothers. His sisters are Mrs. Stella Cary, Mrs. Carrie Albright, Mrs. Hilda Snider, and Miss Fannny Post, all of Logan; Mrs. Emma Miller of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mrs. Helen Lowery of Port Orchard, Washington. His brothers are Carl and Earl Post of Logan and Robert Post of Phillipsburg. He is also survived by 3 step daughters: Mrs. Mabel Krouse of Norton; Mrs. Doris Kern of Palco and Mrs. Ilene Ketchum of Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Eckhart Funeral Home Chapel on February 13, 1963, with A.J. Ives officiating.
Casket bearers were Ernest Snider, Jr., Carlie Post, Ronnie Post, Leo Nevitt, Mike Horn and Carl Bebb. Interment was at the Densmore Cemetery.
