Services were held on Monday, September 30, 2002 for Norma Lynch at the Tracy United Methodist Church.
Norma M. Lynch was born September 2, 1917 to Charles I. and Nona (Rea) Averill in Shetek Township, Murray County. She was baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist faith. She attended District 16 country school and graduated from Tracy High School in 1936. As a young woman she worked in Steinberg's Ice Cream Parlor in Tracy.
On April 27, 1942 Norma married Earl Lynch in Tracy, MN. They made their home on Earl's farm south of Tracy, where they lived their whole life together. Norma remained on the farm until she entered the Our House of Slayton, MN last week where she died at the age of 85.
Norma was a very active member of the Tracy United Methodist Church, having held position on church boards, teaching Sunday School, a member of the UMW and Martha Circle. She also was a member of SSS Club, Golden Age, Prime Timers and was a Food Shelf volunteer and former 4-H leader. She enjoyed playing Bridge and 500 with her clubs, gardening, sewing, reading, handwork and visiting with friends, but especially loved spending time with her three daughters and their families.
Norma is survived by her three daughters, Janice (Gary) Radke of Montevideo, MN, Nancy (Elliott) Tukua of Damascus, OR and Sherry ( Ed) Gutman of Tracy; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents, husband, Earl, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Interment was at the Tracy City Cemetery before the funeral with the graveside committal service at 1 p.m. on Monday.
The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handled arrangements.

TRACY -- Services for Norma Lynch, 85, of Tracy will be at 2 p.m. today at Tracy United Methodist Church in Tracy. Burial will be at the Tracy City Cemetery before the funeral with the graveside committal service at 1 p.m. today.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. today at Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Our House in Slayton.
