Christine "Teenie" Chambers Hixson, 94, of Kingwood, WV., formerly of Connellsville (Wooddale) passed away peacefully Thur. July 7, 2016 at her home while surrounded and comforted by her loving family and her furry companion, Molly. She was born Oct. 20, 1921 in Everson a daughter of the late William and Pearl Lilly Chambers. Christine was a homemaker, a lifetime member of the Bullskin Twp. Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Wooddale Bible Brethren Church.
Christine is survived by her children Nancy Tucholski of Connellsville, Joan Greaser(Joe) of Kingwood, WV., John Hixson of Marienville,PA., and William Hixson of White, sisters-in-law Thelma Hixson, Shirley Chambers, and Betty Chambers, former daughters-in-law Betty Griffith, and Nancy Hixson, former son-in-law Anthony Glowacki, longtime family friend Jeff DeWitt, numerous nieces and nephews, 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Christine was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, J.P. "Hix" Hixson,who passed away March 16, 2003, brothers Ray, Pete, William, and Jack Chambers, sisters Annabelle Lilliock, Betty Pless, Margaret Fetsco, and Esther Luczki, 7 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, son-in-law Casey Tucholski, and grandson Brian Hixson.
Family and friends will be received Sat . from 6-9 PM and Sun. from 12 - 9 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E.
