Margaret Mary Sabatini Baldini, age 97, of the Maryvale Apartments, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at St. Mary’s Asbury Ridge.
She was born in Erie on November 25, 1918 a daughter of the late Felix and Albina DiPiero Sabatini.
Margaret worked alongside her husband in the family owned grocery store and pizza shop and later for Baldini’s Commercial Food Service.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and cross-stitching. She also enjoyed working with her husband in their garden of over 500 rosebushes of which they won many awards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Theodore Baldini, in 1987; a daughter, Almarie Arneman, on March 22, 2016; a great granddaughter, Nicole Arneman in 2014; two brothers, Raymond Sabbatine and LeRoy Sabatine and five sisters, Lillian Quadri, Adeline Cacchione, Rose Agostini, Anita Ferraro and Josephine Kwiatowski.
She is survived by a daughter, Lenora Lewis and her husband, David; a son, Joseph Baldini and his wife, Joan; 10 grandchildren, Mark Arneman of Clearfield, PA, Patty (Peter) Esposito, Craig (Carolyn) Arneman, David (Denise) Lewis, Jr. , Timothy (Holli) Lewis, Gregory (Erin) Lewis, Jane (Pat Stucke) Lewis, Jodie Baldini, Joseph (Kelly) Baldini, Jr. and JoAnna (Chad) Williams. Margaret is also survived by 21 great grandchildren , 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of service there at 7 p.m.
Burial will be private in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
