Judith “Judy” Ann Workman, 63 of Statesville, passed away July 7th, 2016, at her residence after a lengthy illness. “Judy” was born in Boone County, West Virginia on September 5th, 1952 to the late Thomas Ervin Workman and Loretta Mae Ball Workman. She was retired as a coal miner with, US Steel and was a member of United Mine Workers of America. “Judy” loved baking, cooking, crocheting and collecting butterflies. She was a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist, Statesville, NC.

In addition to her parents, “Judy” was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Chapman Workman, two brothers, Thomas and Randy Workman, two sisters, Jeanie Workman and Janet Taylor.

Survivors include, her sons Larry Christopher Workman of the home and Daniel Curtis Workman (Ellen) of Statesville. One sister, Joyce W. Faircloth (Lynn) of Summerville, SC. Six grandchildren, Darrian Workman (Katrina) of Key Rock, WV, Shana Mollohan, (Richard) of Daniels WV, Chase Workman, of Wilimington, NC, Tommy Workman, of Statesville, NC, Dani Jo Workman, of Statesville, NC. One great-grandchild, Levi Mollohan, of Daniels, WV.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 9th, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, 147 Isaac Road, Statesville, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Chip McGee will officiate.
