Doris Meekins CHARLESTON - Doris Bell Meekins, 89, of Charleston, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday (Oct. 22 2001) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Caudill-King Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to. 7 p.m. Friday at the Caudill-King Funeral Home.
She was born March 8, 1912, in Charleston, the daughter of Joseph F. and Goldie Jenkins Goff. She married Charles "Reece" Bell; he died in 1952. She married Gene Waffle; he died in 1968. She married William Meekins; he died in 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Robert and John Bell, both of Charleston, and Rex Bell of Littleton, Colo.; one daughter, Martha Van Dyke of Littleton, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
