Jesse Anderson Beckner, Jr., 76, died Saturday at his home.
An operator for Phillips Petroleum Company for 38 years, he was a native of Wanette, Oklahoma, and a Borger resident for 50 years.
He was a Baptist and a member of Local International Union of Operating Engineers #351. He married Hattie Argo on March 9, 1971 in Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Ronald Spears in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Beckner of the home; two sons, Andy Beckner of Tulsa, Okla., Donald Spears of Childress; a daughter, Sara Sharpton of Tonkawa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Pampa under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
