Burton B. Armstrong

MARSHFIELD - A funeral mass for Burton B. Armstrong, 78, of 39 Pilgrim Terr., a retired self-employed commercial artist, was celebrated in St. Ann's Church this morning.

Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Armstrong died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Jamaica Plain.

Born in Boston, he had lived in Jamaica Plain before moving to Marshfield several years ago.

During World War I, he had served with the Navy.

Husband of the late Mrs. Cecelia (Hourihan) Armstrong. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Julia Crowley of Jamaica Plain; two sons, Robert J. Armstrong and James R. Armstrong, both of Marshfield; his stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Armstrong of Newtonville; a sister, Miss Rosamond Armstrong of Newtonville; and eight grandchildren.
