William Joseph Thompson 81, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at his home. He was born on October 27, 1934 in Shay, Oklahoma to the late Charlie Thompson and Lily Wiggins Thompson. William was raised in Shay and Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1952. He married Barbara Ann Muncrief on June 18, 1954 in Kingston and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2002. They moved to California where he went to work for Atlantic Richfield (Arco) for 30 years. William retired at age 52 and moved back to Madill in 1990 and worked at the peanut company. He was a member of the Madill First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, dogs and horses.
