Age 77, a son of the late Louis and Shirley Marsh Aulenbacher. Charles attended Fairview High School and was enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machine repair specialist at Lord Corporation, retiring after 38 years. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post 470 and Lord Corporation's Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed classic and antique cars and liked riding motorcycles in earlier years.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a son, Daniel; a grandson, Calvin; a brother, Herbert and a sister, Phoebe.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Work Aulenbacher; four children, Chuck Aulenbacher, wife Terri, of Fairview, Betty Croxall, husband Dennis, of Millcreek, Steven Aulenbacher, of Edinboro and Edward Aulenbacher, of Newville, Pa.; six grandchildren; three step-children; a brother, George; a sister, Shirley; a good friend, Frank Scheu; Several great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
