Nancy Moore Settle Bragg was born in Virginia, probably Fauquier County, to William Bragg (1855-1834) & Ruthy (1760-1844). The family moved to Madison County, Georgia before her marriage to Charles BERRYMAN. Charles and Nancy were the parents of Charles Tabor, Frances Pen, Ruty Toliver, Wilson Penn, Nancy S., and Elizabeth Caroline. Charles died in 1832.

About 1835 Nancy married William Ballenger, the father-in-law of her daughter Elizabeth Caroline. William died in 1864. Nancy died sometime after the 1860.

The Berryman-Bragg Cemetery is located on the land that was the Berryman home place. Family Tradition is that Charles and Nancy are buried there with two of their sons. In 2006 Descendants erected a monument to their memory in the Berryman-Bragg Cemetery.
