Olive M. HANEY, 99, a resident of Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, for the past five years, formerly of 418 S. Division St., Mount Union, and Allenport, died at 10:22 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2002, at the nursing center.

Born January 24, 1903, in Shade Gap, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Belle Snyder. She was united in marriage to Walter A. Haney April 19, 1924. Mr. Haney preceded her in death August 28, 1981.

A daughter survives, Mrs. Nick (Ann Elizabeth) Cals of Mount Union. Two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Ruth Snyder, Belle Kelly and John Snyder, and a stepbrother, Walter Booher.

Mrs. Haney retired from L. Grief Bros. Manufacturing, Mount Union, in 1969, after 40 years of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with Pastor Dayton Sines officiating. Interment will be made in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg.
