Mr. Henry Bonnie Arnette, 76, of Rockingham passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Hospice Haven. He was born March 16, 1939, a son of the late Rev. Roy and Mamie McPhatter Arnette.

Mr. Arnette was a veteran, having service with the U. S. Army. He was a Mason. Mr. Arnette was retired, having worked with Rockingham Foundry and Rockingham Stainless Steel. He loved people, enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, riding his motorcycle, playing Santa Claus, shining his shoes, and spending time at Lindsey’s Tire Shop and at McDonald’s; He loved the time he had with his grandchildren.

Services will be conducted graveside 3:00 pm Monday, February 22nd at Richmond Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Hawks officiating. The family will have visitation at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Arnette is survived by children, Sandra Steadman of Rockingham and Dane Clark of Harrells; grandchildren, Stephanie Jenkins, Jennifer Osborne, Dylan Steadman, and Blaise Steadman; great grandchildren, Brennan Jenkins, Hailey Osborne, Dayton Jenkins, Destiny Jenkins, and Tyler Osborne; and number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Clark; six brothers, and five sisters.

Memorials may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy 1 N., Rockingham, NC 28379.
