Our loving mom, Alice Elizabeth Winborn, 56, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016. She passed away at her home in Arlington following a courageous 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Greenwood-Arlington Chapel. Interment service with military honors: 1:15 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, 75211. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at Greenwood-Arlington Chapel. Alice served in the United States Air Force and was a Gulf War veteran. She was born on March 17, 1960, in Meridian, Miss. She joined the military service in California and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., during her USAF career. She also had temporary assignments in Japan and/or Korea. She was a brilliant cake designer, and a creative cook. Her education includes a certification from the paralegal program at St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. She resided in Suisun, Calif., for many years until she moved to Arlington five years ago. Alice had a beautiful soul and a gorgeous smile. She will be forever missed. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Allen Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Harrison Allen; siblings, Carolyn Powell, Earline Powell and Eddie Lee Allen Jr. Survivors: Daughter, Alicia Winborn-Putnam; son, Ariyen Winborn; siblings, Brenda Echols, Belinda Robinson, Clara Newton, John Allen and Early Allen; grandchildren, Elijah Putnam, Serena Putnam and DeVante Putnam; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
